On this encephalogram, alpha waves look like roller-coasters : Here come the waving bass-guitar,the metronomic drums and guitars , vintage keyboards ahead and a voice, fragile and straight ; all in all, melodic structures, simple only per se, on which lay most of the tracks that can be heard in the nowherestudio sessions.
Definitely megalomaniac inosfar as they are determined to leave only unique masterpieces behind them, Steeple Removes are not so-called rookies.
electro pop rock, often psychedelic....steeple romove is recording tracks at the nowherestudio in rouen. the stuffs and musical instruments we practice: tape recorder 8 tracks 1/4 inch fostex, 8 tracks magnetic recorder 1/2 inch tascam, akai S2000, atari computer, electric organ farfisa "matador", korg 770, moog satellite, korg delta, etc.... the music style: from ambiant electronic music to psychedelic pop rock, through lot of influences, krautrock (can, neu, kraftwerk, faust ), 60's pop music ( beach boys, beatles, T rex ...),80's industrial or around punk music (throbbing gristle, einsturzende neubauten, psychic TV, Public Image Limited ...), american music more or less experimental ( tuxedomoon, the residents, steven brown, père ubu, captain beefheart...), electro of 90's and 2000's ( the orb...), hip hop and french music as serge gainsbourg, michel delpech, alain bashung...for the equipements you can see our "stage map" (you'll need acrobat reader). of course for a small place, we do not need to amplifie drums ( and also we have enough power for bass, guitar and synthsizers). but the farfisa, sampler, and the two voices must be amplify with a sound system.........Recently i discovered that you have a website, I remember when you played at
Bar & Boos in Leiden. Then, in 1996 or so. Your performance the was very good and the demo tape I bought, is also very good. I heard, while visiting your website, that your music is still very interesting.
The scene. The band played in france, in netherland: Rotterdam, Laiden (bar&boos), amsterdam, kromenie, neimegen. in england: Brighton, London ( 2 gigs: organized by boss music and sonic mook ). in switzerland: geneva....etc....
